RF/MW ENGINEER

Percyroc is looking for Radiofrequency (RF) / Microwave (MW) engineers. The candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on developing all elements of a new high-performance carbon fiber composites curing process, with involvement from antenna, solid-state amplifier and control level. We offer you a central role in a young, growing organization with great potential. RESPONSIBILITIES

Simulate/model/evaluate RF/MW systems
Develop RF/MW circuits, components, antennas and packages
Evaluate and characterize the prototypes and full system performance
Develop automated test equipment for lab measurements
Work with manufacturing and testing of components and systems
Development of products corresponding to customers needs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree or PhD in an engineering discipline with emphasis in RF/MW circuits or electromagnetic theory
3+ years of research and/or industry experience in RF/MW circuit design. Personal drive, have the ability to take own initiatives
Innovation driven, provide innovative solutions to common problems
Ability to maintain good long-term relationships with our customers
Fluency in English both oral and in written

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience with design of linear and non-linear circuits such as power amplifiers, mixers, multipliers, filters and PLLs
Thorough understanding of RF passive components
Familiar with spectrum analyzer, signal generator, VNA
RF/MW design using ADS, HFSS, AWR or similar
Understanding of electromagnetic propagation and antenna systems
Schematic and layout using Altium Designer or other PCB design tool
Experience in Matlab, Python for modelling and analysing RF systems
Python and/or LabVIEW programming experience for test automation
RF/MW expertise between hardware and software domains
Experience with writing patents
Entrepreneurial experience

 

SYSTEM ENGINEER

Percyroc is looking for a motivated system engineer for implementing a software layer connecting the different parts of the solutions. Our team wants to expand competence with an experienced software architect with a hands-on approach to coding. Earlier exposure to AI-related techniques such as Reinforcement Learning, and frameworks as Scikit-learn is preferred. Coding will mostly be done using Python, with an understanding that many of the hardware-related intricacies require other appropriate tools. It is important for the applicant to help the company in a broad perspective, and to take an active role in organisational, managerial and business-related tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The core responsibility of the candidate is to code, debug and maintain embedded software for connecting the different parts of the solution offered by Percyroc. This requires also a keen interest in new developments in the broad areas of machine learning and AI, and of automatic control. The candidate will work closely with the RF/hardware experts, hence should have excellent communication skills as well as display an openness to learn about related technologies.  The successful candidate is expected to take on an active role in the daily operations of the company.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

At least 1 year professional experience as a software developer with a focus on embedded systems. A university (master) degree in machine learning, automatic control, computer science or equivalent. A relative junior, flexible profile, with a base in Sweden, Uppsala. Personal drive, have the ability to take own initiatives. Innovation driven, provide innovative solutions to common problems. Ability to maintain good long-term relationships with our customers. Fluency in English both oral and in written.
