Position Overview
We are looking for a driven RF/Microwave Engineer to take a key role in the design, development, and testing of next-generation high-power microwave heating systems. You will work from concept to prototype: simulating, fabricating, and characterizing RF components and subsystems including solid-state power amplifiers, matching networks, and antennas — from early-stage concept to lab validation and industrial pilot deployment. You will work on cutting-edge, high-power microwave heating systems designed to displace CO₂-intensive technologies in key industrial sectors.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with hands-on lab experience and thrives in an environment that blends research, product development, and systems-level thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Simulate, model, and optimize RF/MW circuits, subsystems, and full system architectures (e.g. solid-state power amplifiers, antenna, matching networks).
- Design and implement RF/microwave components, including power amplifiers, combiners, filters, directional couplers, and custom packaging solutions.
- Prototype, characterize, and validate hardware using instruments such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and load-pull setups.
- Collaborate with embedded, mechanical, and system engineers on system-level integration.
- Contribute to antenna system design and performance evaluation for heating and field strength control.
- Develop and maintain automated measurement setups using Python.
- Work with manufacturing teams on design for manufacturability, test procedures, and performance tuning.
- Participate in customer-driven product development cycles, refining designs to meet application-specific needs.
- Support patent drafting and engage in technical publications or conference contributions, if aligned with project goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or equivalent with focus on RF/microwave engineering or electromagnetics.
- 3+ years of research or industry experience in RF/microwave circuit design.
- Proven skills in modeling and simulation tools: ADS, HFSS, CST, AWR, or similar.
- Experience working with RF measurement equipment: VNAs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers.
- Strong initiative, analytical mindset, and problem-solving drive.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken). Swedish is a plus.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience designing both linear and nonlinear RF blocks: power amplifiers, mixers, frequency multipliers, filters, and PLLs.
- Deep understanding of microwave passive components, transmission lines, and RF layout.
- Experience with antenna design, field uniformity control, and electromagnetic field simulations.
- Proficiency in Altium, KiCad or equivalent PCB layout tools.
- Familiarity with Python, Matlab for RF system modeling and measurement automation.
- Demonstrated ability to work across domains bridging analog hardware with digital control and embedded systems.
- Exposure to industrial heating applications, thermal-microwave interaction, or microwave safety compliance is a bonus.
- Track record in IP generation and/or entrepreneurial projects is highly valued.

Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Electrical/System Engineer to join our multidisciplinary development team. This role focuses on the system-level integration of power electronics, control, and microwave subsystems — from early-stage concept to lab validation and industrial pilot deployment. You will work on cutting-edge, high-power microwave heating systems designed to displace CO₂-intensive technologies in key industrial sectors.
This position is ideal for an engineer with both broad systems insight and deep technical skills, who thrives in a fast-paced, innovation-driven startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the integration of electrical subsystems: power supplies, high-power amplifiers, sensors, control boards, interlocks, and instrumentation.
- Collaborate across disciplines: RF, thermal, mechanical, and software — to develop fully integrated systems.
- Translate functional needs into system requirements, specifications, and architectures.
- Contribute to prototype bring-up, test, debugging, and optimization of full-stack systems.
- Design and implement microcontroller and embedded control systems for real-time operation.
- Drive system verification, validation, and assist with CE/EMC/safety compliance.
- Support technology scale-up, from benchtop demonstrators to industrial pilot systems.
- Work closely with the CTO and R&D team to file patents, publish key innovations, and represent Percy Roc at select technical forums.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 3+ years of system engineering and electronics design experience (research or industry).
- Experience with multidomain system integration (power, control, instrumentation).
- Programming experience in Python, C++, Matlab, or embedded C.
- Strong initiative and self-leadership, with ability to manage technical ownership.
- Effective communicator in both written and spoken English. Swedish is a plus.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of RF and microwave electronics fundamentals.
- Experience with power systems, HV/high-current design, and isolation safety.
- Hands-on with test equipment: vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators.
- PCB design experience using Altium, KiCad or similar tools.
- Experience with Python for test automation and hardware interfacing.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance, CE marking, EMC testing, and industrial safety norms.
- Background in entrepreneurial ventures or deep tech commercialization is a plus.
- Exposure to EU funding schemes (e.g., Horizon Europe) is a bonus.

Position Overview
We are looking for a System Engineer with a strong background in embedded systems, software architecture, and automation to bridge the gap between RF hardware and intelligent control. You will lead the development of the software layer that integrates all system components, from signal acquisition to actuator control and help implement smart, autonomous control strategies.
In this role, you’ll operate at the intersection of embedded development, machine learning, and systems engineering. You’ll also have the opportunity to shape business operations, internal processes, and even future product direction as part of a fast-growing innovation company.
Key Responsibilities
- Simulate, Architect, code, and maintain embedded and system-level software to interface with RF, power, and sensor modules.
- Implement and test real-time control algorithms and state machines for microwave heating applications.
- Develop interfaces and APIs for data acquisition, visualization, and diagnostics.
- Contribute to building digital twins, smart feedback loops, and adaptive control.
- Collaborate closely with RF, mechanical, and thermal experts to enable seamless end-to-end system integration.
- Lead system validation efforts, including automated testing, fault detection, and reliability evaluation.
- Experiment with AI/ML techniques such as reinforcement learning for adaptive control and process optimization.
- Take an active role in the company’s operational rhythm: product roadmap and innovation project planning.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Automatic Control, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or Mechatronics.
- At least 1 year of industry experience in embedded software development or systems integration.
- Hands-on proficiency in Python, with familiarity in embedded platforms (e.g., STM32, Raspberry Pi, or similar).
- Understanding of sensor data handling, signal processing, and hardware interfacing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken). Swedish is a plus.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience in real-time embedded systems and microcontrollers (e.g., Python, C/C++).
- Familiarity with Linux-based systems, hardware abstraction layers, and debugging.
- Exposure to AI/ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, or other instrumentation/control software.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, MQTT, EtherCAT).
